We Love Our Halloween!
It’s no “Legend of Sleepy Hollow” or” Night of the Living Dead.” Still, once in the 1990s, the peaceful waterfront city of St. Helens was overrun by something worse than zombies or headless horsemen — a Hollywood movie crew! Now, every Sept. 28–Oct. 31, the lovely Oregon town just 30 miles (48 km) northwest of Portland transforms into a Halloween haven. Events include costume contests, trick-or-treating through St. Helens’ Old Town District, haunted tours, and scarecrows galore. Visitors will find a fun atmosphere, decorations, and photo opportunities at every turn, including carved pumpkin displays and a replica of the vintage taxi driven by Benny, the skeleton cab driver in the “Halloweentown” movie.

Portland Marathon
Experience the best of Rose City at the fast and beautiful Portland Marathon presented by OHSU Health. They feature four bridge crossings, a downtown start and finish, and a scenic tour of iconic landmarks and neighborhoods. Join the 52nd running with options including a marathon, half marathon, kids run, and a new 10K distance for 2024. Be part of the excitement on October 6th as 9,000 runners take over downtown Portland. We’re thrilled to introduce Zuko, the slithery new member of The Gossamer family! This snake knows how to soak up the sunshine and all the good vibes! Keep an eye out for Zuko slithering through the building—watch your step, folks! And for those looking to get cozy, Zuko's favorite activity is cuddling. So, who’s ready for a snuggle with our scaly superstar? Welcome, Zuko!
